It’s lucky that lavender loves sunshine, because the last few days have been HOT!
Now that all our outlets are open in the Main Field, it’s been a pleasure serving our customers across multiple fronts. Our lavender soft serve ice cream has proven particularly popular in this mini-heatwave, and we also have loaded fries, hot dogs, lavender lemonade, and plenty of other drinks and treats available!
Before we melt in the heat, let’s get into this week’s update!
How is the lavender looking?
The early-flowering angustifolias are in full bloom and looking wonderful. As you can see below, we have areas of these lavender varieties in the Display Field and the Main Field. These sweet-smelling beauties will be looking great for the next few weeks before they begin to fade around the end of July.

The intermedia lavender varieties are coming along nicely, but are not quite in flower yet. We estimate that these will start blooming in around two weeks’ time.

How are the wildflowers and sunflowers looking?
In the increasing heat, the wildflowers in the conservation area are starting to fade a little now. The wildflower patch, however, is only just getting going – we expect to see more flowers there over the coming weeks.
Meanwhile, the sunflower patch is lapping up the sunshine. The sunflowers are already around half a metre tall and will continue to shoot upwards over the next month. We’re still expecting to see these in flower around the start of August, and will keep you updated!

That’s all for now. More soon, lavender fans!
