There’s no easy way to sugar coat this but we’ve no idea how we’d manage to deliver literally thousands of slices of cakes to our visitors without the unwavering help of our team of bakers. One such member of this team is long-term friend of the farm, Kevin Sibley who has partnered with us for very nearly a decade now.
Formerly, a graphic designer, Kevin fell into baking by chance but never-the-less snapped up the prize of National Cupcake of the Year in his first year of his new career. Ten years into the job, Kevin still successfully runs his own business, Mamas Bake House and we’re fortunate that Hitchin Lavender is the recipient of many of his homemade cakes and jams. After buttering him up with one of his own delicious bakes, we persuaded Kevin to chat to us about the culinary delights he creates for us as well as his occasional baking blips!
