Lavender Digest (3/8/18)

Hello Hitchin Lavender fans!

We are at the beginning of the end our lavender season. There is still an awful lot to enjoy, but do make sure to stay tuned here, as we will be keeping you updated with everything Hitchin Lavender.

Next week (3/8/18 – 9/8/18)

The wet weather has affected the main body of the field.

Flowers that came into bloom in early July are starting to fade somewhat, so it is not quite the full effect that we have had previously. However, there is still a good third of the field that is still looking terrific, so we definitely have enough – for the time being – to satisfy all your lavender needs.

As to how the lavender looks from now on does depend on the weather. Again, make sure to check on this site before coming to avoid disappointment.

And the sunflowers?

Sunflowers are still looking great, but they have a fairly brief blooming window, so we would highly recommend coming as soon as possible. In total, they stay looking bonny for about 10-14 days. They came into bloom about a week ago now, so we do have a good week of flowers.

As ever, do make sure to check on our Facebook, Instagram or Twitter, as we will update with pictures. You can always contact us directly, just so you can plan your trip.

Tune in next week for more information on Hitchin Lavender!
