High Jinks at Halloween

What’s on at the farm this half-term

We suspect many of you will have been commissioned by your children to decorate your home in time for Halloween next week so although you may be busy hanging up skeletons, spiders and other spooky adornments, if you fancy getting the family out to blow away some metaphorical cobwebs, we have lots going on this half-term which could help with that.

You can take a walk through our pumpkin patch which is ablaze with a gorgeous autumnal glow at the moment thanks to the wide selection of pumpkins nestled in there. If you’d like to take a pumpkin home, you can pick your own from a range of orange, red, white pumpkins or choose from one of our more unusual varieties such as Super Freak or Crown Prince.*

Back in the barn, you can cosy up with a coffee or something warming from our delicious seasonal menu. You’ll see that we have our own Halloween theme going on in there with an assortment of painted pumpkins for you to spot. If you feel inspired to paint your own whilst you’re here, feel free to help yourself to the bits and bobs we’re leaving out on our craft table. Don’t forget our pumpkin painting competition – there’s a spooktacular Halloween Hamper for the winning entry.** Our straw bale maze, wooden play fortress and purple tractor are still open for anyone that wants to continue the fresh air fun.

We also have some special Halloween activity events for children aged 18 months to 8 years running on Wednesday 30th and Thursday 31st October. Pumpkin Pop is an interactive and immersive show packed with lively stories, dancing and a Halloween hunt hosted by Windy the Dancing Witch (a.k.a. Lucy Harrigan, a local mum of 3 who trained at the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts in Dance and Drama and since graduating has worked as an actress, producer, choreographer and teacher). For further information or to book a place, please contact Lucy at lucy.lunaclasses@gmail.com or see our events page.

We’re open every day over half-term from 9.30am-5.30pm. There’s no entry charge and it’s free to park. If you need any further information please give us a call on 01462 434343 or see our website.
