IMG_1871 (1)We’re rather excited to welcome Sundown Cinema back to the farm for the start of their 6th season here. Work is underway to install their giant 9 metre screen which they’ll be using to screen 5 fabulous films. If you fancy a little star gazing of the celestial as well as Hollywood kind, please come and join us one evening this week. The Sundown season kicks off on Wednesday with Mamma Mia!, followed by The Grand Budapest Hotel, Dirty Dancing, A Star is Born (sold out already!) and The Greatest Showman.

There’ll be a bar, pizza and crepes on site or guests can bring a picnic. You’ll be able to enjoy the sun setting before the film begins or interact with your fellow cinema goers by using Sundown’s live social media wall. Beanbags, deckchairs and gazebos are available for hire if you feel in need of a little luxury!

Tickets include free popcorn and can be booked online now at Sundown Cinema

Adults are £14, Children £9 and carers/companions are free.

Mamma Mia!  – 14th August

The original Mamma Mia! – Sing it loud, sing it proud!  Bring out the platform boots and spangly jumpsuits, sew in the sequins and get ready for the Abbafest that is Mamma Mia!  A brilliant family favourite film with all the classic tracks. A great mid-week treat.

The Grand Budapest Hotel – 15th August

The Grand Budapest Hotel stars Ralph Fiennes and is a cinematic treat, a perfect date night or treat for that someone special.  Wes Anderson doesn’t fail to delight as he combines laugh out loud lines with wonderful characters throughout.  91% on Rotten Tomatoes for a reason!

Dirty Dancing  – 16th August

We love Dirty Dancing at Sundown Cinema and it never fails to raise a smile.  An excellent friends night out and annual treat in many calenders.  Bring your singing voices and join in as Johnny and Baby have the time of their lives!

A Star is Born – 17th August

Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper stun and amaze in this fantastic version of A Star is Born.  This event has now sold out and no tickets will be available on the gate.  Check out our website for details of other venues or pick another film!
SOLD OUT – SOLD OUT – SOLD OUT

The Greatest Showman – 18th August

The feel good film for a generation?  Amazing songs and characters that make us smile.  There is nothing better than watching it on a giant screen with a crowd that loves it as much as you!  Come and enjoy The Greatest Showman at Hitchin Lavender.

Look out for more screenings in September. Still to come is 10 Things I Hate About You, Mean Girls, Jurassic Park, Bohemian Rhapsody and another chance to see The Greatest Showman.
